I’m never more comfortable than when I am in a t-shirt. In fact, I have a t-shirt collection that would put most people to shame. Once, on a family vacation, I insisted on visiting a specific restaurant because I saw a coupon in the visitors guide for a free t-shirt with meal purchase. I tore up the hotel room looking for the guide after we ate because yes- it was THAT serious. And in the end, I got my shirt (thanks Lulu’s)!
Given my obsession with tees, I am always searching for ways to be comfy AND cute. So when I purchased this super adorable Vogue-inspired Disney Princess tee from a local black woman-owned business (yay!) called Bri Belle Boutique, I just knew I wanted to post about it. I’ve put together 3 no-fail looks to level up this t-shirt with pieces everyone probably has in their closet.

I paired the shirt with black biker shorts, Nike Hurrache sneakers, a solid color fanny pack, and over-sized hoops as the finishing touch. Bike shorts are really in right now, and they can be found for less than $10 at most stores. And ya’ll know beauty supply store hoops can take you from basic to baddie in .5 seconds! This look is perfect for a casual outing like an outdoor concert or a day at the mall. Throw on a jean jacket and it will take you from summer to fall!

A maxi skirt is one the most versatile pieces in a woman’s wardrobe, so I had to include it in this post! I thrifted this sparkly skirt from Goodwill for only $8 and paired it with black ankle-strap block heels, a miniature cross-body bag, and pearl drop earrings. This look is the perfect way to jazz up a t-shirt for a more “dressy casual” occasion. I’d wear this fit for a lunch date with my girls on any given weekend.

Wrapping things up, I couldn’t forget a classic jeans-and-t-shirt outfit in this style guide! Distressed medium wash jeans compliment this tee perfectly. The pink Vans and coordinated backpack add just the right pop of color, and I personally think dirty shoes make an outfit feel more *vintage*. Jewelry wise, a pair of pretty stud earrings keeps the look nice and feminine. This look is perfect for a stroll around your neighborhood farmer’s market or local art museum!
